Hello!
Although I've been playing MTW for 2 years, I dont know, for example, how to make new factions, heroes, what is XL mod, how to set the game to start earlier then 1087 or to last longer then 1453........

First of all, welcome to the forum!!!

XL Mod is a program that enhances MTW by adding new units, factions, improves AI....

You can learn all these things by checking different topics on this forum, mainly at MTW modification.

Also, since you have experience in MTW, I suggest that you come to the Main Hall and help other members who are rookies in MTW!
