The Hippies eroded societies values, this is what happens. Hope some Hippies get "Happy Slapped" and finally reap the disasterous seeds they had sown.

lol... my dad would full heartidly agree with you... of course he served in Vietnam and was shot twice, and when he came home he was spit on a couple of times... which even to me is absolutely abhorrent... but the hippies are about as much to blame for todays violence problems as Sesame Street is.
Say what you will but that grouch is one shady character.
No but seriously, anyone that disrespected a vietnam vet should be shot.
Viva La Rasa!!!
Even if you disagree with a war the veterns deserve respect
"A man may fight for many things: his country, his principles, his friends, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mudwrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a stack of French porn."
- Edmund Blackadder
We were taught in history that the disrespect shown to vietnam vets was a myth, I didn't believe and I now am even more convinced it is a whitewash from an ashamed generation.

I have proof right from the horse's mouth so to speak. I don't think someone (especially my father) would lie about something like that. My dad fired a guy because he had long hair and an ear-ring and wouldn't lose em' based on his social beliefs... he sued, my dad won... end of story.
I wouldn't want to work for anyone as asshole that cares about how long someone's hair is
And what does Nam have to do with England exactly? Some protestors spit at vets, others didn't. Hippies hardly eroded social values. It is no one elses buisness if they wanted to do drugs and sleep with random people, and not work. The only people at fault are these kids and there parents.
"But if you should fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home."
