    Default Senate mission problems

I am having senate mission problems. The Senate will ask me to take a city that I or a Roman ally already own. I will be asked to blockade one of my own ports. When I finally got frustrated and attacked the Scipii to the North, I am the Brutii, the Senate sent me a message asking me to destroy the Brutii.. What gives with these? I am using RTW with ver 1.2 and Bug-fixer, which Player1 claims only fixes traits. Is this a problem with the original game?

Sounds like a bug-fixer issue...PM the creator of the mod.

EDIT: what year is it? do the roman factions control the entire map?

The year is 197 B.C. The Romans control about a third to a half of the map. The Germans are still strong as are the Egyptians and British.

Hardly, bug-fixer in no way changes anything related to senate missions.

    -some traits and modified
    -some units are modified

But nothing is added or deleted that could garble such things as senate

    P.S.
Could this be related to so-called load/save AI bug?
With weird things like auto-negotating protectorate in turn after load.

    Or maybe not?

BUG-FIXER, an unofficial patch for both Rome: Total War and its expansion pack

Senate is schizophrenic. I have seen it outlawing all Roman factions on the 5th turn before. It will also randomly assign missions to conquer places you already hold etc.

Best solution is to kill the Senate by taking Rome.
