Battlefield 2 Multiplayer Demo "Gulf of Oman"

in case anyone is interested, the battlefield 2 demo was released yesterday. i had a chance to play it a bit last night.. no real impressions yet, except that the menu interface is annoying.. and, as always, shooting people is fun. the vehicles seem to be underpowered, but i never really played the other battlefield games, so maybe that's nothing new. minimum specs are ~1.7ghz proc, 512mb ram, 128mb vid card (geforce 5700/ati8500, or above).

Won't run on my video card. Only game I know of that won't. Time for a whole new comp anyway but I'm not doing it till the tech is out that will compete with the PS3 which probably won't be till Christmas or early 06.

I got the demo, seems pretty good, but nothing revolutionary. A bit mediocre compared to the hype IMO...

It doesn't even seem to try to run on my comp.... Pretty f*cked up when you consider that I can play HL2 and Doom 3 on their second best settings.

Yes the compatibility is horrible compared to just about every game out there. I've heard it won't work with a lot of laptops also.
No worries though. I much prefer the Operation Flashpoint series anyway.

I have a GeForce4 TI 4200 128MB BTW.

From reading the read me I have discovered that the game doesn't support the G Force 4 series...

A seemingly bizzarre decision as Was under the impression that still held a considerable market share, Hell, I can only think of one or two people from my grade of 180 nerds with comps that could handle this game..
