Thank you for the warm welcome guys.
Now that we have had a few drinks and I am a little house warm, let’s join in a drunkard’s song… “OOH MacDonald had…” … *cough* …
I just realised I don’t know any drinking songs… Oh well, lets just have another drink then.

I suggest getting used to the delights of the rest of the Org before posting in the Tavern. The Tavern can cause a lot of heated debate, so it is best to learn how to post in the Org's style and realise that the Orgahs in the Tavern are a little bit like politicians at question time.

    Org's style:
Be polite to others and yourself.
There is an age range from 10 to 80.
The Org is international and politically diverse.
So don't swear. Post like your grandma is the next thread reader (parish prest, druid, pope, favorite scientist etc).
Try and backup a post with quote/reference/solid information.
Try and not flame another poster.
If you do insult someone else remember be polite and apologize.
In short moderate yourselves and all the moderators will need to do is direct you to the right forum, change threads to the correct forum and change titles of your thread if requested.

    PS use SpellCheck.

Our genes maybe in the basement but it does not stop us chosing our point of view from the top.

I post here because it is a much better designed forum.

The white text on black at the ezyboard gives me a headache.

There are some interesting off-topic forums here too.

But this is not the best reason. Post here because it will make you strong like bull.

I used to post at the .com, but it just ia a lot worse. there is no modding community there at all, and most people there dont even know what EB is. This forum also seems to have the frienliest members and the best moderators.

As much as i hate saying mean things about other sites, i agree with you a bit. There is no modding community, and if they don't know about EB, then what do they know about TW? Then again, considering that EB has it's main forums here and at TWC, i'm not surprised. And yes, this place is friendly, and having laid-back mods makes the place much more relaxed...most places i go to, the mods are so authoritarian, you just don't feel comfortable around them, but here, it's like being around any other member.

    Hurrah for the .Org!!

Always good to see another Floridian, especially as these hurricanes are going to kill us all, and I am from Gainesville.

In my case I'm coming back after a long absence. Last three years been playing the MMOs (DAoC, Horizons, & WoW) mostly. I think I'm officially burned out on them now. Great fun while it lasted though. So, I'm back to playing RTW again until I find something else to keep me preoccupied.
