    Default Selecting Troops

When you click on a unit, they shine, as does their banner. I don't think there were glow-in-the-dark troops back then, and it is one of the most annoying features I can think of. Is there a way to disable it? If there was a way, would EB do it?

They could still have the selection "icon" below them without glowing

Well, the banner can still move up and down (that's probably more hardcoded) and the unit card will light up.

And in real warfare, sometimes you can't see what's going on.

In real warfare, you don't get to hover above your troops and direct them as the fight goes on. Leave the flashing troops, I say. Big deal.
