Help editing starting postitions please

I'm fairly new to modding so I need some help.

I editied Britannia so they started with Tara but not Deva. No problems.

I then tried to remove Eboracum from Britannia and give it to rebels. However, this is not working when I go to start campaign I return to single player menu. Could the problem be because Eburacum starts with a family member, although I tried to move him?

Have you tried using the -show_err extension?

Show_err barely works for campaign bugs.

The problem is very likely that you moved the general out, but he is now in a rebel province or he is located on an invalid tile. Check the coordinates of where he is standing and look through map_regions.tga, map_ground_types.tga (check for mountains or dense forests as they are the two that cause problems) and map_features.tga. Remember to double the size of the coordinates for map_ground_types. Move him onto a tile that you know is valid and you know is within one of Britannia's starting provinces.

It's very hard for people to help you if you do not post the actual code of your descr_strat file. Just saying what you have tried to do does not allow people to see where you may have made a mistake.

I'll show you what I typed in a minute. BTW on my computer this thread still hasnt appeared in the General section and the RTW Modding section doesnt appear to have updated since yesterday morning. I can only type here cos its in the most recent post part.
