Luckily I grew up somewhere where the usual temperature ranged from 35C to 45C... but unfortunately it's damn humid in this country and that makes anything above 35C start to become annoying.

I get hay fever, which made it even worse, but luckly I had some hay fever tablets. Unlike yesterday where I had to suffer because everyone had gone to town (IE Liverpool city centre) and had taken the tablets with them and not used them. It was like they did it on purpose.![]()
Man - don't us Brits LOVE to talk / have a go at the weather?![]()

Hell yes. It's still bloody hot. Make it go away! *grumble* bloody weather...
We had serious heat here two weeks ago. Days and days of 25 to 30+ with stupid humidity. Could barely breathe. The entire province, the size of most of Europe, was under extreme forest fire alert. Sixty-five forest fires were burning out of control. No fire permits were being issued anywhere in the province.
Then it rained and rained and rained for two bloody weeks. At least most of the fires went out.
Tomorrow we're back to 26 degrees for two days than down to a lovey 20. Perfect work weather.

98* Farenheit the other day. Today was better, in the 70s I think.

98 Fahrenheit is 36.67 Celsius. That's really hot.
It's 29 Celsius with a lot of humidity in where I live. That's 84.2 Fahrenheit.

My whole family and I, all get hay fever too, and we swear by this little product called Beconase. Its a nose spray, and with just a couple of squirts it sorts you out for the whole day! You can go rolling around in grass, picking flowers in the fields with your girlfriend and so much moreOriginally Posted by Martinus

It's lovely down here again today: lots of hotties in super short skirts.
Yesterday was AWFUL - sticky, hot, no air movement at all.
I just don't understand why the heat is always so oppressive here: I've been in India and it was much hotter but nowhere near as stifling.
May the wind be ever at your back and the sun ever on your faces. May your sword lie light in your hand and heavy in the memories of your enemies
Lots and lots more water in the air! India has dry heat. If it is over 30 degrees over here in dutchiestan it is a nightmare.Originally Posted by TonyJ
Today is a lot better. A clear sky and a cool breeze. The only problem is that I have to help my nan destroy a pamas grass thing.
Nice to see i inspired all of the britissh patrons here to talk about the weather. It's gone all horrid and hot again, and it doesn'y help the fact i'm in a computer room full of people, and computers whirring away with their fans, blowing hot air everywhere...so hot...
You guys better learn how to appreciate warm and sunny days. I mean, there hasn`t been to days with sun following each other here for months.
Damn, it allways overcoasted, and it rains very often.

Damn straight... this is annoying and somewhat sweaty at 30-35° C while on Aruba, where there's very little humidity, I wouldn't start sweating until 40° C... But, okay, the wind there is constant. And I don't sweat much even here and now with this appaling humidity.Originally Posted by Fragony

When I was a child
I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
The child is grown,
The dream is gone.

The joys of living in a backwards country that doesn't have air-conditioned houses as standard. Me, I live half the year in Beijing. Freezing cold winters, baking hot summers - but, we have air-conditioners. Going outside during the day is generally intolerable though; but who goes out in the daytime? Evenings though...
One summer when I was in Nice in the south of France, the hotel room had the most woderful air con, so we only went out at night. Ve vere ze undead.![]()
