    Default Pictures from Yellowstone

Well I am back from my trip to Yellowstone. (yes folks just today - my wife and I drove 24 hours straight to get home today so we could pick up the dogs from the Kennel. The poor puppies spent over 8 days in jail and we just had to get them out.) I took several forms of video media and my Brother-in-Law took even more. I will post several pictures at a time, but it will take a while, got to sort them out from the digital, and then the camera's. Once my Brother-in-Law finishes editing the video - I will try to figure a way to post it also.

This is a picture of a nice elk that was grazing off the side of the road on the way up to Mammoth Springs from the Madison Junction.

On a seperate day - it was Snowing (yep folks it snows in Yellowstone in June, about 1 inch that stuck to the ground that day) This is a picture of the Lower Falls of the Yellowstone on a snow day in June.

More coming to include ones of the overnight hike into the back country around Slough Creek, and the long day hike into Hellroaring Creek - both were hikes into where two different Wolf packs were spotted. We heard wolves on both days - but they are a very elusive creature. My son and newphew both caught a glimsp of them as they were sunning on the rocks - but unforunately both sitings happened to quick to get a picture.

On the overnight hike - we got a video of a good looking badger as it swam across the Slough Creek and looked up and spotted us fishing.

Nice elk. Looks somewhat different from those I`m "used" to see.

Hopefully you got something from the volcano?

ITs cleaner - but it misses the effect of the snow fall. It was a very pretty site watching the waterfall as the large wet snowflakes were falling.

    Here are 4 more photos.

This is the Upper Falls -

And all from the Day hike into Hellroaring. The Bear picture is on the road to the Trail Head - about 1/2 of a mile from where we started. It later showed up at the trail head after my wife was in the car or another black bear (which is most likely) - she returned to the car with my neice a little earlier then the rest of us. Got to clean up those pictures once we download it from the cell phone camera.

Two female elk that were on the ridge line above us on our hike.

I'm glad you and your family had fun, and that your dogs are out of jail now.
