    Default Dynasty Warriors 5

Dynasty warriors 5 will be out on 24/06/2005, i was just wondering if anyone likes any of the previous titles, i think it is the closest thing you can get to the total war battlefield on the ps2.

How many more versions will it take before people stop buying these?

I've liked most of the Dynasty warriors games (I'm including Samurai warriors in that). What I don't like is the "expansions" they do for each one. Dynasty Warriors 4 had 2 "expansions". The reason I put expansion in quotes was because they are each a seperate version of the game with new content.

Samurai warriors is my favourite, the mix of history and fantasy was very good.

    Is Kessen 2 not closer?

Could somebody explain that game? You run around and bash computer drones.... is that it? I guess Spartan: total war will fill that market niche for a while but I still don't understand the appeal of any button masher games.

On a very basic level that is what you do. But there is more to it than that. In dynasty warriors you follow the life of a nobel during the 3 kingdoms period. You choose a character and play threw the major events and battles of their life.

Samurai warriors is nearly the same except their are castle sieges where you enter the castle and fight your way to the top to kill the enemy commander who has taken refuge inside. Also on the fiekd their are shifting objectives that your taisho gives you, like lure character X and his unit to point Y, destroy the siege cannons, take a central fort on the map, secure wood to build your own fort, lots of stuff. Hopefully Spartan total warrior is going to be like Samurai warriors.
