so i managed to get Mechwarrior 2 and MW2: Mercenaries working today...

AND IT WAS AWESOME!!

those are two games that i spent so long playing, and are classics. Once i figured out how to get them working, it was easy to do the same with a few other old games. Though unfortunatly ghost bears legacy aint working yet, soon i hope!

but when it comes down to it, the Mechwarrior 2 series was awesome, absolutly the best gaming experience ive had in my short life

Yes MW2 is a classic, but MW4: Mercenaries is pretty good as well. The story isn't as good as the MW2 ones perhaps but the gameplay is, MW4: Mercs still has a pretty active online community as well. Theres also an unnoficial fanmade expansion for MW4: Mercenaries that adds tons of mechs and weapons.

I loved those games until I learned the CBT boardgame rules. Now I can't stand the innaccuracies enough to play.

I'm unhappy because good weapons loadouts and techniques in the boardgame fail to transition over to the computer games with the same success.
