There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

You've never heard of 2000 AD?

Umm, do you mean comics as in comedians? If so...perhaps this thread title should be changed to 'British comics books...' etc.

Do you mean Benny Hill? If so, I feel obligated as a Briton to state that this is not, repeat, not, representative of our comedy. You should go and watch some Python. True gods.

Anyway, as stated by Cygnus, this thread is about Comic Books, not comedians.

Aw, Benny Hill is great. If there're two things my grandfather share, the second one is Benny Hill. It's even become more popular with the younger crowd these days, since the theme ("yackity sax") is hilarious and has been ported to other shows.

I feel like I've slipped into some kind of bizarre parrallel dimension. Benny Hill is terrible!

Gawain-You're missing out, you should seek out some back issues. You msut be familiar with Judge Dredd?

Onlt the movie and has been said it sucked. Then again the last comic I read was back in 1968 and was spiderman 45 or something like that
Would you believe I had every Maresl comic from issue 1 on until I stopped collecting them in 64? I also had all the good DC comics that came out from say 56 until 64 . I must haver had a couple of thousand of them . Its all I spent my allowance and other money on for the most part. Well that and toy soldiers. Man I could retire on those comics if I had them today.Spiderman, Ironman, Waspwoman and Antman, Submariner, Thor, The Silver Surfer,Metalmen, X-Men. As far as DC goes there are far too many to name.I cant wait for the Fantastic Four movie to come out in two weeks. Of course its got my favorite villian of all time Dr Doom.

You really could. The father of a friend of mine has thousands of dollars in comics he could cash in on if he'd bother to set up a stall at a convention or something. What happened to yours?
