Have you upgraded your video driver? If so, that could be the problem. Check out this thread. It's suggested that for MTW you should not be using anything newer than the 61.77 video driver for the GeForce FX5200. STW is even older than that. Don't bother buying a new version of STW because the game was never updated beyond what you already have.
