Default A New TW Cloning Attempt?

This could be promising, I think: http://int.games.1c.ru/13_century/ On the other hand, that is what I thought about Imperial Glory...
(My apologies if this has been discussed previously- I checked the last two months' threads, anyway...)

    Any thoughts?

Actually there are quite a few games that 1c is developing that look promising to me- check out "Projects" in the left column at the above link.
(Naw, I don't work for them...)

It might be good...we can just hope heh. But still not much info on the game. Its about time we start seeing someone who takes the real time battles more serious instead of just fast paced arcade stuff.

Looks good, I thought one of the screenshots was a field strewn with blood. Only to find they were flowers. Hope the we get realistic battlefields filled with blood and corpses in the Barbarian Invation.

It's about time that imitations started flooding the market. More competition will keep CA on their toes.

Looks like its got potential. If it's got a good campaign (they seem to have put thought into it) and at least MTW scale battles, it'll be awesome.

Yeah If its good I would buy it. But the Campiagn map has to be quite good, the battles need to be quite big as well no little skirmishes only.

Looks promising. A nice detail I noticed is that knights in a unit use different colours of horses. In RTW it's kinda eery how soldiers look exactly the same, as if they're clone troopers or something. Variations in horses, hair colour etc I think will make for a more authentic experience.

Looks promising, and if this has the same meticulous attention to detail as 1C's "WW2 RTS" (working title) game...

    TW? What's that?

Eh, why did they focus on boring Europeans? Some of them could fight well enough of horse but...

Yeah, it could be good, and I have had my eye on "WWII RTS" for a while (wow that is bad, even for a working title- "Wartime Command" was much better) ... As you guys know, and as I learnt the hard and expensive way through the Imperial Glory debacle, screenshots and claims do not a game make... Still, hope springs...

I meant Middle East and Central Asia. I think they said the Mongols wouldn't even be playable! I mean, come on!

Bah, who wants to ride around and shoot arrows all day. Horses are only good for one thing, charging home! Not that ride around and shoot thing.

This does look like a quite interesting game, certainly one to watch and track.

Knight, you ride around and shoot, then charge, silly.

It certainly looks the part, but don't they all these days? Still, with some more released information on the actual gameplay it looks like it could be a title worth getting excited about.

Gamershell also has the trailer and even more screenshots.

I think it could develop into a nice game in case they get the battles interesting.

Even if this game turns out to be a disappointment, it demonstrates efforts by other game companies to take advantage of CA's market niche. If we are lucky it games like this will force CA to get/keep its act together or Sega will have a flop of a company on its hands. Bring on more TW clones!

Quite right xemitg, the more competition CA has the better, so yeah, bring them on!

I haven't watched the trailer, but one thing I haven't noticed is a screenshot of a siege...

Of course there has been a lot of speculation that the next Total War, after the expansion I mean, might be MTW II. If XIII Century Death or Glory is accomplished and successful, it might just preempt that...
