    Default Racism

Racism is 'generalising valuation of real or ficticious differences'. A sub-form is the so called 'positive racism'.
In the backroom you can hear more and more both kinds. Let's stop this.

Stop hearing it?...or stop doing it?
There are times I wish they’d just ban everything- baccy and beer, burgers and bangers, and all the rest- once and for all. Instead, they creep forward one apparently tiny step at a time. It’s like being executed with a bacon slicer.

The cries of "Racism" are cheap tactics used to undermine people's opinions 99% of the time. I dont think there are any true racists on this board, although when someone has an axe to grind, that card is played often.

In the real world, its quite a lucrative business. Many have made a career out of scaring people and companies into "donating" their hard earned money to keep the race police away.

Unless I'm mistaken, I think he's talking about affirmative action and things like that... where racial preferences are granted to minorities that have been wronged in the past.

Well, to PJ's point... unless you're REALLY familiar with American politics, not just surfing CNN, you wouldn't have a strong handle on all of this. There are still some great civil rights leaders in this country, looking to improve the lot of their people. Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton, the kings of the shakedown, ain't two of them.

Actually, I have a certain amount of respect for Reverend Farrakahn. I certainly wouldn't want to be left alone in one of his mosques, I might not survive the experience, but he has done a lot for his people.

He encourages personal responsibility, community reinvestment, economic development, education, stable family relationships... there's a lot to like there.

His theories on the white race being an experiment by an evil wizard gone awry, or our white color comes from blending in so we could hide from polar bears... well.....

No, I mean what I said.

Is that hard to understand. I can dumb it down a little more.

Some examples: If you say Italians are good lovers. This sounds positive. However, it is a cheap generalzation. It reduces them to this one feature. And it ignores the individual.

Also: Jews are friendly people that make no problems at all.
This is racism as well. It ignores the diversity of the individuals.
