    The only casualty was the pig, and it was the only shot fired. Smithsonian article on it referred to is at the "Boar War." The interesting part to me was that George Pickett was there in all his ringlet glory. He would go on to do memorable things like lead a doomed charge, and to be off hosting a shad bake while his end of Lee's defensive line was finally fatally flanked at Five Forks. Appropriately it was April Fools Day. Less than two weeks later Lee surrendered.

    EDIT: Shad, not clams... The boy was eatin' bait for cryin' out loud.
