Prometheus's (Prom) mod, Res Gestae (check the Forge) showcases Roman units like those in EB. I think since he made them.

all i remember of rome is: princepes, 2 types triarii, early cohort, early preatorian cohort, and teh 'late' versions of the latter. maye soem equites, not sure. think not. *checking sheep's thread*

Well, we have members who are focused on the barbarians, and we give equal treatment to all archaeological and literary sources for them, not just Greek and Roman sources, so some people think we are "barbarian focused." It isn't true, we just don't feel that sources and archaeological finds should be dismissed because they aren't Greek or Roman.

Always a plus, ill probly only be playing as barbarian factions anyway. They are such a huge improvment over the original ones from whats been shown sofar.

Yeah, I'm glad EB isn't just 'barbarian focused' It would be kinda weird to have all these beautifully detailed barbarian units, only to send them into combat against the lime green romans It might spoil the effect.

Incidently Randykapp, I really don't wanna sidetrack this discussion or anything, but It's nice to see another guy from Belfast around here. I'm from Newtownards (about 5-10 miles outside Belfast) it's just unusual.

Anyhow, I hope the next preview iiiiiiiis *pause pause pause* Armenia! Because I really want to see their heavy cavalry/heavy infantry/ horsearcher combination, so see if it's as unbeatable in EB as in RTW (I mean geez those cataphract horsearchers were really something)

I'm still eager to see Armenia. That's by far the most interesting of the remaining factions although Thrace would be a nice one also.
