"The essence of philosophy is to ask the eternal question that has no answer" (Aristotel) . "Yes !!!" (me) .
"Its time we stop worrying, and get angry you know? But not angry and pick up a gun, but angry and open our minds." (Tupac Amaru Shakur)
I also heard that story. It was quite interesting, far more so than the so called Tut's Curse, which had only to do with Lord Kanargen (sp)'s weakness and exposure to toxic molds.
"But if you should fall you fall alone,
If you should stand then who's to guide you?
If I knew the way I would take you home."
Grateful Dead, "Ripple"
Indeed , the dates are real , think of the probability ...

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.
A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?
Didn't he say something more like he will haunt them/bring death and destruction? Wodring not important, but Russia was pretty well beaten down...

Yes, there's many different sources that have him saying different things. Once says "If you open my tomb, a fate worse than myself will fall upon you". The message seems pretty clear though, despite the change in wording as you said.Originally Posted by Uesugi Kenshin

I will have to say something like that about deists when I die.....
That was the wording I heard from the History Channel, thanks Monk!

Sounds like a big coibcidence to me, but it is still kinds cool, except ww2 isnt really cool so...
Soviets are taking a part in WWII already from september of 1939 (assault on Poland, occupation of Baltic states and Besarabia, assault on Finland) and the tomb is only opened in 1941.:)))
We are talking about "Barbarosa" here , you know , the invasion to the USSR not from it !

caeser44,
WWII started on 1th september 1939 and all plans "Gelb", "Barbarossa" etc. are just acts of war that is already going. Soviets are in this war from same September 1939.
Actually Britain, France etc. didn't declare war until the 3rd of September. The 1st was Hitler's invasion of Poland.Originally Posted by Ulrih fon Jungingen
