    Default Atlantis- Fantasy or Fact

So do you guys believe atlantis was real or made up. Personally i think it was real, but has been greatly exagerated through the ages.

I'll try to show some "proof" later, but now im going to be.

I just had to make a thread like this

Yeah I think it's a good story which was based on fact but was made into be something which it wasn't. If I was dreaming... sometimes I even think that some of the Phoenicians were Atlanteans from some seafaring, 'advanced' Civilisation.

Same story goes for the opposing civilization of Atlantis : Mu. Some researchers propose some kind of massive war between the two which caused their end (Nuclear war perhaps?)

Mustafa Kemal Ataturk, a great history admirer as well, had claimed somewhere that Turks were descendants of the Mu... Who knows ?

    Ahhh...yes Churchwards' fabled Mu.

Very interesting stuff near Japan....if it was proved to be man made it would turn archeology on it's head.

Most myths are based on some fact, with a lot of fiction added in. I think that in the case of Atlantis there is probaby a lot more fiction than there is in most other myths, though!

I think it was based off of the Cretian civilization that they found that was devestated by volcanos...

I think that theories like Antarctica was the real Atlantis are a bit far fetched. And as for Ireland once being a great civilisation, well.......

Yeah, it was. Trust me, he doesn't believe it.

Some of the stuff about Alantis I can't believe, and I'm pretty open about this sort of stuff. I don't see how it could have been located in the Berumada triangle for example. And the whole them having electricity and magic is of course bull.

Well atlantis certainly couldnt have been a continent as big as plato said, because there would be evidence in the ocean floor, for something that massive.
