Thread: Talk about my first map

I didn't add amazing models nor dynamic terrain design, I only carefully alter the elevation, as I'm still a demo-editor-idiot.

The defender's base is not easy to secure, as there're higher grounds surrounding it. On the right from the attacker is the highest mountain, which can be taken by either force in 50/50 chance, so it'll be the key of the battle. On the left, there's a larger forest which is the best place to conceal your special troops.
The defender's base has two circle of forests but are lower than the open ground so their concealed troops would suffer from reasonable disadvantage.

I have managed to score 4-1 as attacker to the computer's expert mode while also 4-1 as defender. I have found that calvalry is a must in the map, and I at least brought 3 of them to the battle as attackers.

Btw, I added some tree bits to the deployment area of the attackers so when the dusts fly on their way, the trees becomes an illusion of extra army, , that's quite real, believe me.

If you want to play this map, I'll try to post it up in the org. Now begin my second map.

    Good news!
I have learned all the features in the demo-editor in the past half an hour. I have re-edited my first map and placed 6 structures systematically on the defensive side. The attackers started from a forest mountain with the mongols' white flag, while the japanese starts from the a place with 6 temples. It's such a fantastic scene.
I'm going to upload it to the org, hope you guys can play it as soon as possible.

I have already uploaded the map, and it's called M2_HunterLand.
Hope they give me a chance.

What if the defender tries to get the higher grounds that the attacker is supposed to get on?

I'm a bit careless on this becoz I placed the mountain right at the middleplace when the defender got a larger deployment area. However, after checking the map by playing against the cpu, I found that the attackers can reach 5/7 (20/28) height of the mountain and the defender can reach 3/4 (21/28) but also with the trees. I suppose the defender now gets some advantage, however, I hope you can check the map out to see what the actual situation is.
Thanks for your comment and I'll be careful on that next time.
