I dont know if anyone else has seen an old british tv series called SHOGUN starring Richard Chamberlain and Toshiro Mifune. In this program a ninja is sent to assassinate Anjin(Richard Chambelain). The sequence plays out almost exactly as one of the ninja scene when he`s scaling the walls..i wonder if the game creators had seen this program. if u havnt seen it ppl then watch it...its good fun

It's been about 6 years since Shogun released and about 10 years since I watched the TV series, which was aired once a week then. Can't remember a thing from that series besides the fact that I enjoyed it very much.

I will put it in my Netflix queu if I can find it.

Heh, actually the miniseries (which I believe is not British, but American Hollywood), was done a loooong time ago, well before you were born, Drisos. It is an entertaining story, based on James Clavell's excellent book.

Note that there is a 2-hour version and the full miniseries. The 2-hour version does NOT do the miniseries justice, so be sure to watch the entire series if you can.

I used to have a serious crush on the Lady Toda Mariko (hey you history buffs, do you know who this character was based on?). Wouldn't want to get in a tangle with Lord Buntaro though ... he's quite a shot.

yes Me and Ithaskar(at the time known simply as Soul) were in Majestic Ryouko. i might have to get hold of a new copy of Shogun before i can play it online, mine seems to have vanished. :(

Your quite correct, when i made this post 3 years ago i had only just seen the series, i recognised allmost all the non japanese characters from TV shows in Britain so i just assumed.

Unfortunately ive lost contact with everyone from Majestic, I dont even remember the last time i saw Soul online :( btw, how many people still play on the fakeserver?

I can't say exactly, when is someone 'playing'? I think about 40 who are really playing, some ocasionally, some quite often.

there are many people who like to play but can't log in...if we solve their problems we have much more players

there are way too many who want to play but just forget to come to the foyer! I mean those like STW MP and can play but think there is no one and play other TW. this discourages others too, but I don't know what to do about it.

us 47Ronin's have 6 players again now. Shinkage has 1 so far(trying to get more). 7bear7 has 1 now, but many of them are planning to come back. aggony has 1 atm, but 3 others would come if they could. the wolves have none atm, but 2 are coming back. (kansuke and littlegrizzly)

quite some newbies who come on often. some diehards who come from time to time...

the community is small, but still very nice..

if you join us, there is already 1 more..more players means more are encouraged to come too...

do your best! getting a copy of WE/MI is hard these days. if CA would only sell the rights for shogun... we would get some new people again! hope they do.
