    Question LBM and TGA viewer

Where can I find a program that views and possibly, edits, the TGA's and LBM's?!

Swords Made of Letters - 1938. The war is looming in France - and Alexandre Reythier does not have much time left to protect his country. A novel set before the war.

A Painted Shield of Honour - 1313. Templar Knights in France are in grave danger. Can they be saved?

http://www.irfanview.com/ is very good for all those types of files.

BTW, another question. Why do games use TGAs for images? I don't understand why they don't just use bitmaps or jpgs...

Irfanview is a great freeware viewer, but it won't let you edit them. For image editing try photoshop.

TGA's are used because of the much better image quality which scales cleanly to different sizes. JPEG's are compressed which causes them to lose quality. It's like the difference between optical zoom and digital zoom on a camera.
