You can also use the "auto assign titles" option, it will use the highest acumen units for governorship

I thought auto assign gives the title to the best general, isn't it so?

In my experience it gives it to the units with most acumen using 3 feathers as minimum threshold IIRC, so it's best used once you got a decent number of units.

I never used it but I might if it does a decent job ('cause I hate flipping thru so many stacks) How does it work? Does it also assign bonus titles (master of the sultan horses, etc)? Does it give command rating titles to worthy commanders? Does it also reassign titles?

Yeah, it works fine for any title as long as it's got someine worth of it, i don't know about the command rating but i think it takes into account that too...
