Well, my noble brethren of the Org, the G8 is upon us, and as one of the closest members to the summit, I can report on what the protesters have done this year.

So far, all trains going through Stirling have been stopped, so all East-West rail traffic has been stopped.

The road from Edinburgh to Perth, the M9/A9, has also been blocked, so there is very little North-South traffic.

Unfortunately, I am now stuck in Dundee. Admittedly, I could go to Fife, or Aberdeen, but they are not terribly nice places...

All of Tayside Police have gone to other places, so Dundee is devoid of police, except for a mere skeleton force, which doesn't do much. There are no police on the beat, but thankfully, the neds are not clever enough to take advantage of the fact that there are very little police...

The march near the hotel was called off by the Police, but was started again at 12.40 because of protests near the Scottish Executive and Parliament in Edinburgh...

Hopefully there shall be a few nice riots to watch on the news the night...
