    Default Shogun Hiryu

I have revised my Sengoku campaigns, altering the start positions to deprive the Imagawa of secretive Iga. The Mongol campaign has also been improved. The Hojo have left the defence of Kyushu and the west coast of Japan entirely to vassal clans, making it easier for the Mongols to conquer. For players who prefer fighting to diplomacy and strategy.

The file has been uploaded to 3ddownloads- thanks Barocca- but isn't with the other campaigns, hence the new thread and new link:

    Shogun Hiryu

This is the campaign guide from the ReadMe.

    Campaign Guide

The campaigns are intended to be played at the expert level of difficulty.

    Sengoku 1545

Shimazu- much easier than the level chosen.
Mori- easier than the level chosen.
Oda- same as the level chosen.
Imagawa- harder than the level chosen.
Takeda- much harder than the level chosen.
Hojo- easier than the level chosen.
Uesugi- same as the level chosen.

    Sengoku 1570

Shimazu- same as the level chosen.
Mori- much easier than the level chosen.
Oda- much easier than the level chosen.
Imagawa- much harder than the level chosen.
Takeda- harder than the level chosen.
Hojo- easier than the level chosen.
Uesugi- same as the level chosen.

    Mongol invasion 1274

Mongols- easier than the level chosen. The Mongol player should select the original campaign, retaining the new troop values and invasion thresholds to make it harder.

Hojo- harder than the level chosen.

    Default Re: Shogun Hiryu

Reducing the effectiveness of missile weapons makes the difference between close range and long range more noticeable. Mongol skirmishers can still be dangerous to units in close formation, since their javelins are thrown almost on top of the enemy, but firing down from heights and extreme ranges is much less potent.

The reduction, as well as the alteration to the invasion thresholds, minimises the player's ability to just wait for the AI to attack and then to destroy the enemy armies from a strong defensive position.
