Wink Campaign map after patch 1.2

It said in the readme that they fixed the excessive jerkyness on the campaign map but i still get it and when i looked for the command line in the file it referred me to it wasn't there. Any tips on how to get the smoothness?

There should be an option in the preferences.txt file in the RTW directory. Look for the entry "CAMPAIGN_MAP_CAMERA_SMOOTHING:TRUE" Make sure it is set to TRUE.

    Code:
    ...
    TERRAIN_QUALITY:HIGH
    EFFECT_QUALITY:HIGH
    VEGETATION_QUALITY:HIGH
    KEYSET:0
    UNLIMITED_MEN_ON_BATTLEFIELD:FALSE
    CAMPAIGN_MAP_CAMERA_SMOOTHING:TRUE
    CHAT_MSG_DURATION:10
    USE_QUICKCHAT:FALSE
    GS_PIDS:FALSE
    ...

I searched for it and found it and it is on TRUE. I compared it to when its off and can see no difference. Has any one else experienced this.

Nvidia cards seem to have trouble with it with older drivers. Make sure you have the newest drivers for your card. I think its 77.72 right now. I heard that 6x.xx drivers caused it to lag a lot. You may also need a new computer. My specs are well past the requirements but the campaign map is still kind of choppy with no background programs and all drivers up to date. Part of the slowness is the game itself.

    Thanks for the help
I got the latest driver and now the campaign map is a lot smoother.

That's very strange... my game either CTDed or just hung on the latest nvidia drivers (I need not, of course, tell you that I'm using an nVidia) but when I backdated it to the older drivers it perversely worked way better and way smoother. Weird.
