I seem to like cartoons: The Simpsons, Family Guy, the very underrated Futurama, South Park etc.
In the non-cartoon section, i used to be a big fan of Buffy The Vampire Slayer, but only the first three seasons are worth watching. (Maybe it was because i got older).
I don't really watch anything regularly anymore.

Best: Lost. Awesome plot, awesome cast, just an incredible show.
Alias is also good, but not nearly as good as Lost (the creator should do all the shows for ABC, so they can stop doing all those damn reality shows). But Jennifer Garner is hot.![]()
I also like Seinfeld...
Good show. I haven't been able to see much of it, but when I can catch it, I quite like it. I also like TNG. I've seen some of the original, but it's a bit hard for me to get past the effects and Captain Kirk's interesting style of acting.Clear winner: Deep Space 9

Quincy
All hail the champion of justice! Just because someone has been stabbed to death 100 times by someone covered in blood who confesses to the murder, doesn't mean they did it. The knife attack may not have killed the victim until a fly landed on the dying man's head, and the additional weight of the fly was enough to finish them off, thus saving the other man from the death sentence. Most coroners would miss such details when writing their reports, but not our Quincy. Faultless dedication to his work. Plus despite chopping up dead bodies all day, he still manages to pull the birds. An inspiration and hero to us all.
After Quincy ended, they should have stopped making television programs altogether! The quality of programming took a sharp nosedive afterwards. I've seen Diagnosis Murder, so I know what I'm talking about.

The Simpsons is not only the best TV ever, it is also the height of Western Civilization. Everything else is downhill from here.

now i'm here, and history is vindicated.
Big John,
When you say Sealab, do you mean the cartoon Sealab 2020? I loved that one.
Johny Quest too. Underdog, Penelope Pitstop, and The Banana Splits. Great stuff. Even H.R. Puff'un'stuff. Guess I'm showing my age a bit here.
How about Kookla, Fran, and Olie on Sunday afternoons, anyone else remember that?
Unto each good man a good dog
no. i'm talking about the adult swim program sealab 2021, inspired by sealab 2020 (with which i am unfamiliar).Originally Posted by Beirut

Eww....I've seen Friends and Seinfeld way too much on this thread. Time to help pull it up![]()
I like the early Family Guy (the new ones I am something less than impressed with), when South Park does satire (the news and afghanastan episodes come to mind), old simpsons, Gilmore Girls, History Channel specials.
And of course, as an American male, football! College, not NFL mind you. Except John Madden.

There are many subtle allusions to past events, not to mention great writing, (voice) acting, and great characters. The first couple seasons weren't the best though.

In my book, Babylon 5 is the best TV show I've ever seen.
For comedy, The Simpsons and Monty Python sit atop the heap.

Forgot 2 shows that I like very much
1. M.A.S.H.(darn awesome, ROFL and LMAO when I see an episode)
2. Anamaniacs(showing my age, as Beirut said)

Shooting down abou's Seleukid ideas since 2007!
I guess I am as boring as most others as I have to say - The Simpsons.
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.
