Sprite number allocations for strat_tree_spritepage.tga.dds



It's a big problem for people with NVIDIA GeForce MX cards as no real 3D vegetation will appear on their screens for the campaign map - just the sprites. So any mod that changes the vegetation types will need to change the sprites too (though all computers without those type of cards will not ever see the sprites in the first place to realize there was a problem) or risk having weird graphics problems as a result (e.g., white trees in a desert or whatever).

The problem was revealed by CA here:

"the campaign map was designed using Pixel & Vertex Shaders (minimum requirements state 100% DX 9.0b compliance), the Geforce MX series does NOT support pixel or vertex shaders"

So these cards cannot show 3D vegetation and must use the sprites instead.
