Damn, you got their before me. Although Admiral Lord Adam Duncan 1st Viscount Camperdown, Admiral Lord Nelson, Earl of Cardigan, Lord Kitchener, and Earl Haig also come close.Arthur Wellesley, first Duke of Wellington, Viscount of Talavera, Duke of Vittoria, Count of Ciudad Rodrigo and Commander-in-Chief of all of His Britannic Majesty's Forces in the Peninsular, is my military hero.
It was not theirs to reason why,
It was not theirs to make reply,
It was theirs but to do or die.

Jimmy Page - Best guitarist in the history of man. Amazing musician as well.
Interesting. I'm curious how you can find one exclusive of the other.Originally Posted by PanzerJager

So, it might be valid to find the guitarist from the musician, because it could be a distinction between execution and creation-If you rush me, i would even compare this with obeying and commanding-. Its not that strange to find good executers that are not so good at creating.
Well, at least thats how i get it
Edit: Almost forgot!! my hero: Leonardo da Vinci

Betito got it. There are plenty of excellent guitarists who arent so great at writing and organizing new material - Stevie Ray Vauhagn comes to mind.Interesting. I'm curious how you can find one exclusive of the other.
Page produced much of Led Zeppelin's work as well as played the amazing guitar solos and such.

I don't really believe in 'hero's as such, but there are certainly people through history I greatly admire.
Napoleon and Sartre being top of the list. Great, great men.
GARCIN: I "dreamt," you say. It was no dream. When I chose the hardest path, I made my choice deliberately. A man is what he wills himself to be.
INEZ: Prove it. Prove it was no dream. It's what one does, and nothing else, that shows the stuff one's made of.
GARCIN: I died too soon. I wasn't allowed time to - to do my deeds.
INEZ: One always dies too soon - or too late. And yet one's whole life is complete at that moment, with a line drawn neatly under it, ready for the summing up. You are - your life, and nothing else.
