Slight correction. Some European siege artillery did find their way to Japan (used by some of the richest daimyos), albeitly rare. One example would be the artillery used by Tokugawa during Tennoji.Originally Posted by barocca
Before the arrival of the Portugese, siege tactics consists of fire arrows, shields (not carried but placed on the ground), towers (stationary and not the moving types of RTW), mining and the typical infantry assault.
