Question Isn't BKS a bit too harsh?!

Sorry for this... I know it should be in the Watchtower but BKS is the Frontroom Floydian....

I don't want to offend you BKS, but I think you're a bit to harsh with the guys.... Of course, the posts with"Post your email" should be locked but for example, the one with Speak Bartixan, nooo.....

    What do you guys think?!

I've always thought he was a bit ham-handed with shutting spam threads down here, but hey. He's the boss and they aren't threads I care about, anyway.

Pfft, BKS is fine, a great mod!

No one said he was a bad mod, I think he's quite good. Maybe trigger happy, but a good mod.

Lets see. Not really to be honest if you want to up post count through spam theres the 1 word story thread. So in the case od spam BKS is not being harsh. But still you should never close a thread on Bartix. Never. Bartix rocks!

I'm not going to lock this, as I'm concerned that people think I'm being unfair. I'd like to rectify that.

To be fair to the original poster, the Bartix thread was the only thread I've closed in a while as spam that I actually paused for thought over. But, I have to make a judgement call, and I did. I'll repeat my mantra-if you want to raise your post count, do it in the OWS, or one of the picture threads-not by the typing of what I imagine is nonsense to most members.

nah, it's all good. besides, it's not like he came into the bartixian thread and just closed it.. he did it in bartixian! style has to count for something.

besides, the real problem is that that thread was unnecessary; there's already a "speak your own language" thread, isn't there? bartixian is definitely abokasee's own language..

BKS is IMO not harsh enough when it comes to some of these weird threads, but that's just me.

say BKS is a great mod and my only beef with his modding is that he does not close each and every spam thread immediately

Frontroom was so much better before the "culture of spam" took it over
I agree with navaros & SM. I was one of those who originally agitated for a frontroom, an OT forum with no politics, but lately theres so much trash flying around the place I really can't be bothered with it. It seems like its a place where a handful of members post pointless threads and spam their postcounts.

Rob, you go after that spam like you're a rocket wielding Jug hunting panzers!
"I request permanent reassignment to the Gallic frontier. Nay, I demand reassignment. Perhaps it is improper to say so, but I refuse to fight against the Greeks or Macedonians any more. Give my command to another, for I cannot, I will not, lead an army into battle against a civilized nation so long as the Gauls survive. I am not the young man I once was, but I swear before Jupiter Optimus Maximus that I shall see a world without Gauls before I take my final breath."

I see some pretty crazy threads in the frontroom right now(name of alien kid), so no definetly not harsh, though Bartix is funny there is already two open threads about it right now, so enough is enough...

Nah, BKS had to put his foot down at one point and maybe at some point he will ease off a bit, but he is a great mod and is not being too harsh.
