    Default Research for BI

    Well im going to try this again, this thread is not about CA's NEW UNIT.

    I think a project should be lead to collect historical data for BI. I will do this anyways to delete fantasy units and try to make maore accurate provinces. This data can then be available for any realsim mod.

    This is the best map of provinces, sorry diocese of the mid dominate I've found.


    If you want provinces this is what you need.

    true, but just because the roman empire had ~13 provinces doesnt mean they only had 13 cities to manage...

    Ya, thats what i dont like about the new 72 provinces, in rome total war, provinces arnt really provinces, but more important cities and their surronding areas.

    I think it would be cool to have only a few regions but instead of one main city in each one have 3-5 cities. There could be a capital city for the province and then some minor cities. All must be conquered to gain control of the whole province.

    Biggest things that spring to my mind are you have to put in Ravenna and Venice. Ravenna because it was the Capital of the western empire in the BI time frame, before that it was Milan. Venice you have to put in because it was founded around that time too.

    Alright sounds good, but do you know if these have been included. I will ofcourse be modding the Bi map to make a lot less work


    except i *might* just redo MM now, but im not sure it would be compatible with BI.

    But thanks, info is good, i hope to have tos by the time Bi is out, so this mod can come out quick

    This project is for BI, which EB probably isnt going to do. Plus the whole point of my mod will be to try and get out nice and quick where as the big mods will probably take a while.

    also, in BI lybia is just 1 prov, meaning that the east will control roght up to carthage, or the west will control right up to egypt.

    Okay well things to reasearch:

    Well, what i plan on doing is asking each team member to do some historical research on a certain faction and composing their info in a thread at my forum. This of course will be do a couple weeks before Bi comes out so no need to rush or what not. After provnices units will be researched, but mainly just as stat readjustments. Also units like priest will be taken away. So if you want to help with any of those things it would be cool.

    I would also ask that all this disscusion be moved to the workshop(Realism Invasion) as this is no longer just collection, it will be a mod, and then the mods can close this cause i dont want to break org rules

    S@#t! Why slavs are non-playable?! It means they may lack units for example like Thracia or Dacia.
