There is no such thing as media void of political bias.Wrong, they are exactly in the public interest. A media which is away from all the corporate selling and political bias which comes with it, is needed. All media outlets should not be controlled by a few powerful men in suits, I find that very undesirable.
A public broadcaster is in the people's interest and thus most definitely in the govt's interest.
