There, but for the grace of God, goes John Bradford

My aim, then, was to whip the rebels, to humble their pride, to follow them to their inmost recesses, and make them fear and dread us. Fear is the beginning of wisdom.

I am tired and sick of war. Its glory is all moonshine. It is only those who have neither fired a shot nor heard the shrieks and groans of the wounded who cry aloud for blood, for vengeance, for desolation.

For me its soccer. Nothing can beat the rush of combat as your seiged in you 18 yard box, with your fellow defenders crashing into the offense and the intensity and sheer brutal combat of holding the line.

Hey man I have played paintball for about 4 years and don't even worry bout CO2 if you wanna be a sniper. Go compressed air, much much better, with increased accuracy and it doesn't drop off. Also i'd keep the hopper, because if you ever go speed ballin your gonna need it. I can't get a hopper big enough out there for my impulse. Also about the barrel they make a special sniper barrel with rifling, try 888paintball for that.

to play it's either soccer or basketball, depending on my mood. to watch on the tv, generally american football or fighting (e.g boxing & mma). though a good soccer tourney (like the world youth championships that was one a couple of weeks ago) is hard to beat.
now i'm here, and history is vindicated.

I like playing rugby at school, since my most of the boys in my class are little runts whilst I'm quite tall for my age (6 foot at 14). Javelin throwing is also quite fun as I can pretend I'm a Roman soldier throwing his pilum.

    Tie between fishing, and chess.
    Boxings fun to watch though.
Huntings fun but I've never been 'really' hunting before (trying to kill small woodland creatures doesn't count). And paintball looks fun but I havent been paintballing before either, I gotta get some friends and form a WWI style paintball fest!

    Hmm, was never into sports.

Target shooting, if you could call that a sport. Earned several badges from the Shooting Federation of Canada, and a few Winchester badges as well. Shot just short of Sharpshooter but got my Marksman First Class award. All this was done with gorgeous Anshutz .22 target rifles. Model 190s I think.

    Something like this.

What? STW, MTW, RTW are not classified as sports? Ah crap...I guess I am just a nerd.

To watch for me is College football (lord knows I'll never be able to play it).

To play is Softball (my major had a fun team) and Ultimate Frisbee.

Least favorite to watch on TV is pro baseball. Nothing like watching millionares scratch themselves. whoopee

Good topic, but where are all the non-americans? I curious to see if Rugby, Cricket or Soccer is the most popular with them.

    Favorite sports for playing:

Football - as in real Association Football (or soccer as some would call it).
Rugby - as in Rugby Football Union.
    Paintball.
    Driving - track driving.

When it comes to watching, football and rugby are the only two I enjoy. I'd much rather be playing though - why watch other people have fun?

Target shooting. Earned a few awards in the college team too with .22
Some more mobile sports, namely basketball, rugby and boxing are some of my favourites and I've practiced all of them in the last couple of years.

To watch, MAA. Namely Thai Boxing. Although lightsaber fights are pretty fun too...

To watch- Curling. Only the scots could come up with a sport that revolves around sweeping ice!! Its so rediculous, its beyond comedy!

    Man,

Basketball is da thing.... Playing basketball is my biggest hobby, I just love playing basketball....

And also, while playing, a good rap/hip hop CD flavours the atmosphere, and plus with some beautiful girls watching you play from the bench, I just makes the day!

My favourite player is Tracy McGrady....

To play: Basketball- Even though I am quite short, speed makes up for it and it's just a fun game to play.
Softball is fun too, as long as you have a good umpire and some people that know what they are oding. And your team has to be able to throw straight, and hit a ball.

To watch: I guess it's basketball, but to be honest, watching is boring as anything. Much more fun to get out and play it.

I'd prefer to play any sport, than watch (except cage fighting).

I dunno about compressed air being better for sniping. I'm a paintball sniper and I nailed my dad upside the eye through a 1 inch squared hole in a fort wall from 200 feet or so

Rugby - the joy of going toe-to-toe in a ruck, or breaking away and charging some poor blighter down... Bliss.

Tennis - something I've recently started playing; I'm terrible, but it's great knocking the ball back and forth on a sunny day, with a jug of pimms waiting in the background. Very relaxing.

Otherwise, I'll probably try most anything, as with anything, I'll do it for the company.

I'm generally speaking rather bad at sports but I do find tennis rather relaxing.

Baseball, football - proper football that is, what you Yanks would call soccer - and Rugby.

    All greats.
