It does not work or can't you locate it?
I recall that there was/is a problem with a specific videocard.
Did it work before? Maybe you have more than 500 maps stored, STW can't handle that.

i dont recall if this is right or not, but you may have to have the full install to get the editor also. did you do the full install of the game or not?

i cant even install the game in full mode it stops at 66%,how annoying.guess ill just have to install the game at medium.i cant play online either,aahhhh even bringing up that subject pisses me off

Do you have enough free diskspace? I have MI and have installed some extra maps and such, my STW folder is 1.8 gig.
You need to register a nick to be able to play online and you must have an internet connection. Furthermore you have to install patch 1.02 as that's the version used and okder versions are not compatible.

got everything you said there
1. more than enough disk space.
2. did have mi installed but now i have to reinstall it
3. got lots of downloaded maps
4. got the patch as soon as it came out
5. registered about 5 five times
so confusing

Let's concentrate on just installing the game first, registration is not required for that. It aborts at 66% and you had it installed before? Have you changed hardware? Or maybe the previous install wasn't removed correctly (bugged register/system)? Do you get any error messages?

no tosa,the installation does not abort it crashes.and then i have to turn the computer off manually then back on again.a couple of hours later i installed shogun original the mi perfectly (install rate:medium).

James, the map editor also only works on a certain video type.
start shogun or MI.
Main Menu/Options/Video.
At top of video screen u will see two choices and one will be selected.
Software mode
Primary driver mode (I think)
Which ever one you are on, change it to the other one and I think it should work.
