Ah, I hadn't heard this (I'm a bit isolated and tend to avoid media anyway). I am sad, but 85 is a good age. I know it may sound silly, but I think the Kirk- Spock-McCoy-Scotty relationships set the tone for what I looked for in close friendships as I grew up. I got all teary the first time I saw the end of "Wrath of Khan."

Cheers to you, Mr. Scott/James Doohan. Tonight, it'll be whiskey instead of tequila, in your honor. Thanks for the memories.
