What do you think about immigration

Me

I think america should keep it as is but crack down on illegals. And every time an illegal male is caught force him into the military for 20 years.

And if some one wants in but can't(meet the standards) and hasn't tried to cross illegally let them in if they join the military for 4 years. If they join for 10 their families can come too

when I say crack down on illegals I don't mean kill them. Just find them take the males (for the military) and send the rest back.

what are your opinions (i know you think i am over board but i dont)

We could use all the ones forced into the military to crack down on it. With real american officers leading them so they dont do anything funny.

I don't mind the legal immigration. I'm always happy to see new faces, and I like most Mexicans i've met. I loathe Illegal Immigration, however, because it is just plain disrespectful, and has led to alot of problems in my state.

I think the answer is to start cracking down on illegals within the country, don't consider Illegal babies born here to be citizens, and vastly improve Border security.

Wow from now on it seems on most topics Ill just let you post for me.

Illegal immigration is a crime and any illegals caught should be dumped across the border again. We need armed guards with orders to shoot any who resist. Kids born here of illegals? Forget about it!

There should be a cap on legal immigration as well, only x amount allowed in per year. That should keep the problems that we may face in the future...

LOL - such sentiments about illegal immigrants that attempt to cross the border. Some of you need to stop reading Starship Troopers and WW2 fiction books.

Illegal immigration is indeed a problem. Placing them into the military as cannon fodder is not the way to go - and is in fact against the law of this land.

Border agents are already armed and have the ability to defend themselves from attack. Sometimes they are outgunned - but its not from the illegal immigrants - its by the drug runners and coyote's that ply the illegal crossing trade.

If an individual is captured attempting to cross the border illegally - turn them around and send them back across the border. So what if he tries again - if he caught again attempting to cross the border - send him back again.

If they are caught futher upstream from the border place them in holding cells, process them into the system and deport them back to their country of orgin. If they commit crimes in the United States other then illegal immigration prosecute them for their crimes, punish them for their crime, and then at the completion of their sentence - send them back to their country of orgin.

Man the border with more men - which has been done according to news reports - another 10,000 border control agents will be maning the border. Dont know if they will only be covering one border or both or the percentage split between the two - but the manning is forthcoming.

Local police officials when conducting routine stops - happen to stop an illegal, instead of just writing the ticket for the traffic violation - need to also enforce the immigrantion laws and arrest and detain the individual to have them turn over to INS for deportation.

In short enforce the current laws to the full extent of the law enforcement and border enforcement agencies already on the ground. If more are need to enforce the current laws - then mandate that Congress fund the border to get it under control.

If your born on the soil of the United States you are a citizen of this country - just like the law already states. I don't care how the parents got to this land - and you can even deport them and the child back to thier home of orgin for all I care - but the child is a citizen of the United States and is entitled to his citizenship the second he or she is breathing air on United States soil. To take that away because of the parents crimes - is again against several founding principles of this nation - a nation by the way of immigrants not Natives for the most part.

Being a conservative does not mean one is necessarily a xenophic (SP) individual.

All of my ancestors expect for those that are from Native American tribes are immigrants from Europe - and even those ancestors can be seen as immigrants since they are suspected of crossing the ice age land bridge.

What about Canadia huh? What about all those illegals trying to get in here? Bunch of job taking, 'aboot' saying, hockey hooligans!

But I've known a few illegals here (working at a restaurant and construction will do that for a person) and all of them work hard. But then...those are the working illegals. They pay taxes (on fake SSNs) and do some really crappy jobs. If we could get them real SSNs maybe that would work.

But yes, the worthless illegals (just like worthless natives) should go. But forcing worthless illegals out is a lot easier than worthless natives (i.e. those who live on welfare).

Putting them into the military for citizenship might work if they volunteer.

I believe they do that already. The guy who recieved a Medal of Honor for jumping on a grenade signed up to become a citizen. I think.

Immigration is a creation of the past. We should remove all borders and let people go where they want, when they want. Plain and simple.

Totally disagree. Why should a country that has invested in its people over time be expected to have to give away its wealth by a form of civilian invasion?

A lot of people do not respect others and will quite happily destroy their local environment knowing that they can move on and setup in another location.
