Make a folder in Data so it has the following structure: Data/sounds/music
Drop the mp3 files in there (they must be in mp3 format).
Edit desc_sounds_music.txt, put the title of your mp3 in the appropriate culture and event (campaign, or battle map idle, marching or battle).
a lot of useful info there

Anyone actually added some of Poledouris' works to RTW? Is it as likely to get you to drool during battle as I think it is?
If someone has already made a "Poledouris Music Mod" for RTW, could that person #pleasepleaseplease# pack all necessary files (mp3s and modified descr_sounds_music.txt) and post it here at the .org for us mere mortals to download?
Ah, "Anvil of Crom" would make great, g r e a t I tell you, charge-music..
(Whoops, started drooling again. Sorry about that.)
Another thing that would be great to download would be a "Voice Mod", with for example instead of ye olde boring "Charge!" one could hear a thunderous "Rooooooma Victooooor!!" (or for Carthage, "Eat their babies!!)
(Bloody drooling)

I'd keep an eye on the Latin VoiceMod then.
Epistolary Richard's modding Rules of CoolCool modders make their mods with the :mod command line switch
If they don't, then Cool mod-users use the Mod Enabler (JSGME)
Cool modders use show_err
Cool modders use the tutorials database
Cool modders check out the Welcome to the Modding Forums! thread
Cool modders keep backups
Cool modders help each other out
Are you sure that's the way to do it? Becuase I changed my descr_sounds_music file, and added two songs to data/sounds/music yet nothing happens. It just plays the original songs!
