Whatever it was it seemed an extremely botched attempt at a terrorist attack. Most likely young Muslims who aren't working with a group trying to make a name for themsevles. I don't think that is too presumptuous as the man who is on the run was supposedly of Middle Eastern stock.
Glad to hear that these appear to have been incompetent terrorists.
Rome Total War, it's not a game, it's a do-it-yourself project.
Now now, you can't call them "muslims", "Middle Eastern", or a "terrorist attack". That would be discrimination. Remember PC policy will always trump facts and truth.Originally Posted by The Blind King of Bohemia

Well I was worried about some sort of backlash but at this moment all news information appears to be pointing that way so I'm just going by what appears to be fact at the minute. I can't really see how anyone could have a problem with that. The bit about the youths and trying to impress was my opinion but its certainly a logical one.
Well, first of all I understand the British people's anxiety and feel the grief for the innocent ones involved in the previous matter.
Today when I got the news online, I just rushed to watch TV to get any further information.. And one of the experts said that this was simply a kind of challenge to say that "Even if it's been only two weeks, we can still wander around carrying bombs and doing whatever we want in your own land".. This really seemed reasonable to me. And the reason that the incidents were minor were just beacuse of that they wanted to challenge, not do one more attack.
These guys are serious, well-organized and knowledgable enough to cause fear and terror. Now every British is somehow anxious, and that was really how they wanted it to be..
I present my good wishes for all of you in England..

Emergency services in protective clothing were at the bus site
Four attempted bombings in London were designed to kill people, the head of the Metropolitan Police has said
Looks like we've been very lucky, considering the fact that the terrorists set out to kill.
"Look I’ve got my old pledge card a bit battered and crumpled we said we’d provide more turches churches teachers and we have I can remember when people used to say the Japanese are better than us the Germans are better than us the French are better than us well it’s great to be able to say we’re better than them I think Mr Kennedy well we all congratulate on his baby and the Tories are you remembering what I’m remembering boom and bust negative equity remember Mr Howard I mean are you thinking what I’m thinking I’m remembering it’s all a bit wonky isn’t it?"

My compliments and thanks to the people of Turkey and all peaceable peoples of any religion in the world for their thoughts.Originally Posted by LeftEyeNine

Judging by the mood of people here in London this morning, I would say that the botched attack has reinforced the feeling of solidarity rather than increased anxiety.

Indeed I would say that, probably thanks to the fact that people were not seriously injured, people thought of yesterday more like an inconvenience than a threat.
