Default A warning by any other name...

Okay…So I have been wandering around the forums and I have seen a little bit on different types of discipline actions that can be taken by our moderators. Maybe I’m being dense (or blonde) but I can’t seem to find a list of what exactly would earn a person a, PM, Minor, ObsceneWords or Major warning.

To be sure, I’ve been a good boy and I’ve not received a warning (I do know how to check that) but I’m just wondering if there is anything beyond this:

Thank you, and I’m sorry if I just missed what I am looking for.

There's no objective standard, really. It's down to the moderators discretion. I mostly reserve major warnings for attacks on other patrons, though. Minors I give for repeated rule infringements, with zero point alerts being given for first time offenses.

Of course, that's just me-others probably have different disciplinary codes.

I've still got that warning for ObsceneWords, (the one where I don't remember swearing)

Tosa assured me that that is a ghost warning. It's not actually there. Just a bug in the forum.

Sorry...but I do think that is kind of funny. So you insulted Caspar did you? That is not very nice!

Thank you BKS for telling me it is not exactly objective. I'll behave myself (yes, the backroom does get heated), but I am always pleased so many people also behave, no matter what the subject is

    So:

    1. No threats
    2. No obscene words
    3. No...pushing it pictures for the babes thread
    4. Don't violate the FAQ

Seems to be what I've got so far. And hey, it seems fair to me.

That's wrong. You received that ghost warning, but there are not any traces left in your account.

This is my warning page (I took a screenshot):

As you can't see the pic very well here's a link

Surely that is a trace left in my account?

Edit: So you can't see the pic in the link very well.. it's probably best for you to save picture, view it, zoom in, then delete.

That's the page anyone can see for himself, always. It lists the type of available warnings etc. The top table will list the warnings that actually have been issued, by whom, where and why. There are no listings in your account.

Edit: I can't see my own warnings

Oh I see, it would do a lot of good to actually look at the title of the table.

He he he...Craterus I feel your pain. I thought I was in trouble too when I first read the warnings.
