I was wondering why did they include the Priests and Imams to Christian and Muslim armies in MTW? Why did they wait so longer to add priests to RTW? Strange isn't it?

I hate that fantasy unhistoric units. It's like fy in our soups. They're ruining the historic ambience of any TW game. Moaning German chicks, groaning druids. What shall make next time i'm really dying while i'm waiting any awesome surprises.

Maybe a Sassanid harem girl band?

    LOL
but I don't think that will be included since it wouldn't be ahistorical enough perhaps some nice smeg legions or some bartix hoplitix

yeah man. So true. It's all about the overall -experience-, and one unit is going to spoil that experience, like it or not. Besides, fighting with clubs? look at that unit. It's nott holding any old club, it's a CRUCIFIX for god's sake. It's an act of sacrilege! You most holy icon is being used as an instrument of organised murder!

For that one unit alone, it's enough reason not to buy BI, because it's already not historical enough for us EB-fans, whose idols (Khelvan and gang) have shown us how historical it can be.

And if you think priests are not good enough a reason, here's another: Hundredmen Hall.

What is the hundredman hall? Did I miss something?

And why are priests in the armies?

And what are Sarmatians doing in the 300s AD as an organised kingdom?

And why this and why that...

I feel like Hunter Thompson in Las Vegas: confused, scared, and out of his element. CA has lost too much historical authenticity- they can make a very good game, but they are going over the top with these wierd, Age Of Empires style abstractions.

hundredmen hall is one of the new buildings for the barbs. To be fair though creating a unit recrution building for the barbs is already ahistorical, but it is needed for gameplay issues.

Why is it such a big deal if the priest isn't historically accurate? The second unit looked alright, and I don't think all the units are going to be strange holy people like the Druids in standard RTW. Druids didn't ruin RTW, did they? If you don't like the Priests in your armies, it does'nt take great modding skills to remove them.

Good point RTW King, it's as simple as that. I've removed all flaming oinkies, the nagg..whoops, "screeching" women, druids and "egyptian" chariots from vanilla rtw and now Ihaven't got much to complain about (unit wise).

If you don't like the games by CA, just don't buy them, don't play them and shut up.
Whoever typed the above comment is an idiot and needs to ask himself why he attends forums. If people want to talk about the stupidity of CA then they can.

Hey, I've found proof in Google about the priest unit!:

NOBODY expects the Spanish Inquisition! Our chief weapon is surprise...surprise and fear...fear and surprise.... Our two weapons are fear and surprise...and ruthless efficiency.... Our *three* weapons are fear, surprise, and ruthless efficiency...and an almost fanatical devotion to the Pope.... Our *four*...no... *Amongst* our weapons.... Amongst our weaponry...are such elements as fear, surprise.... I'll come in again.
As for me, I'll wait for BI... in the Comfy Chair.

Also i have a great respect for the immense work which CA`s teams have to do for the BI, i fear there will be more priests then druids and scalds etc in the northern Lands of the game and that means, again unhistorical setup!
Most of north europe was not ( or only some single tribes leader)realy cristianised before the year 1000 ad. And the first followers of rome`s new religion ended with they heads put on stakes, when visiting ireland sweden and norway.

If they continue to do unhistoric applications they will ruin the TW series with their own hands. I shall not pay a penny to BI if CA make a new RTW imitation. They don't know what they do exactly. They ruined the epic battles, gameplay, historic basement and totaly the games itself. I play only the mods such as EB project. How can't they see their own created diehard fan's critics. RTW is a total and decisive a lost case to the teeth.

cause mtw was more or less accurate. Though if they were ever going to add priest to the battle front it should have been done in VI. The vikings often attacked monasteries forcing the monks to fight back, but even that doesnt really deserve a unit.
