bif information

I was playing today with changing the sword colour of my ND, using the editor I dloaded from totalwar.org. For each type of troop there are 2 bif files I changed the colour of the sword in both files, one worked the other gave me errors. None the less I got the ND to have blue swords. I digress, anyway I found this site at the university of oslo Norway about a bif editer/programming tool. Here's the link, I havn't dloaded the program .http://www.ifi.uio.no/~blab/Software/Xite/

so far i have my devil nds - bright red armor with dark red and a black swork.
green beret ashis, arctic ashis, golden army ashis.. i m trying to figure out how to edit the yari sam - no luck, if u can figure it out can let me no m8

u need to edit the _H.bif file and take off 8-bit texture to work, the other .bif, i figure is for 8-bit texture

How do you edit it to remove the 8 bit texture? I looked at the properties of the file but don't see anything. I must be missing something.

8 bit textures is an option in the video menu of the game if your card supports them.
