The question will be " what did person X give to Charlemagne?"
I got that a couple of years ago but my entire team was history undergrads and grads: we got it (we got 100% on the history section of that pub quiz).

Plantagenet was the surname of the Angevin dynasty which came to the throne of England in 1154 upon the accession of Henry, Duke of Anjou, to the English throne. Before that, William I's (William the Bastard) family was surnamed de Normandie, after their duchy, Normandy, in Northern France.
