40 years from now we can make another of these lists for kids who lived in the 90's...we survived being allowed to run on the playground

Kids these days have access to the internet. Forget lead based paint, anyone who has done a google image search for "scat" knows how dangerous the internet can be (don't try it).

And there I was assuming that "scat" meant something completely different. Like get away from there. A term my grandmother used to use when wanting us to leave her alone.

Good thing I am at work - so I am not willing to try a search on the internet for that term. (I am sure it brings sites up that will get me in trouble at work - given the nature of your warning.)
O well, seems like 'some' people decide to ruin a perfectly valid threat. Nice going guys... doc bean

It has another meaning. Oh the things you learn when you live in a college doorm. This was a popular one for resetting someones wallpaper when they were out of the room.

I go out most days and i'm the rip old age of 15!!! i stay out until the last bus comes (10:40) and even in summer thas beyond dark...i seem ok, but then again i live on the isle of man, which is basically the UK 50 years ago :) (it is one of the safest places in britain)
personally i think that us kids should get out more as a general rule, i do! and i still find time to play on RTW.
And about walking everywhere, and to those who object.....try having a party, doing some under-age drinking and then decide to walk the five miles from Castletown to port erin at 1:00 in the morning, we did it in about half an hour....it was great, pity the chinese was closed hmmm.
so maybe some modern conviniences do make us fatter, prettier and darn it wussier than the days of yore, but we also get out, have fun and learn about life in our own unique way. Anyway, in the 1950's did you want to go back to the nineteenth century?

p.s If anybody asks, It wasnt my party we were at Ok?
    :)
    When I was a child
    I caught a fleeting glimpse
Out of the corner of my eye.
I turned to look but it was gone
I cannot put my finger on it now
    The child is grown,
    The dream is gone.
    I have become comfortably numb...
