Thread: Q\'s on unit stats & how to change them

Looked through target's stats post (thanks btw!).. and I see a few things that im looking for missing.

For example, how do I set a unit's morale? In other words, what value makes the ashigaru rout faster than the samurai? Where do I find that?

Also, is there a value to make units be "stealth" like the B. Ninja?

Is there a stat to increase the range of a musket for a specific unit but not for other units using the same weapon (aka musketeers)? (Im trying to turn the fantasy Kensai into a realistic lone sniper).

Is there any place where we can change some of the strategic unit's % of sucess ratio? Aka Ninja, shinobi, geisha? I'd love to make the ninja be worth their honor.. not the current BS of an honor 6 ninja failing to kill an honor 0 emissary (honor for the ninja is meaningless as it is now in the game imo)?

Morale for each unit is in the Troopstats.txt file. It's referred to as "honor" within the file. Target's explanation of honor is for the honor units receive in the single player campaign. The honor parameter in Troopstats is simply morale.

There is no setting for "stealth" in the parameter files.

You can changed parameters of ranged weapons in Projectiles.txt. Range is one thing you can change. Range cannot be greater than (speed/2)**2.

I don't think you can change the way strategic units work.

    Thanks.

Too bad about the strategic units.. it'd be great if we could change the modifiers for success/fail. It gets really depressing to build half a dozen honor 6 ninjas and then have them die to honor 0 generals/emmisaries. Grrr!

    yuuki,

in this: "Range cannot be greater than (speed/2)**2.", what does that last **2 mean, to the power of 2? and where does that information come from? that's one i've never heard before.

    K.
