Can't wait to the Highland Clasmen to appear!!!
    Or, the Templar Knights!
Or even the Knights of St John!!!
If you look at the Gamespy screenshots there are some guys that look like crusaders.

Also look at the flags, it is like an iron cross.

Hey, atleast it's not a priest with a club, get over it. Atleast a guy with a giant freaking sword makes sense. I don't think they should be called Gallowglasses though, but then again they didn't field whole standardized units either.

A giant freaking sword would be a good status symbol for any warrior. I mean, what's a better universal symbol for power as a huge sword? I don't think the idea for guy running around with one giant sword first appeared in 1200 AD.

Description on the BI site says something like "historicaly warfare on Ireland and Scotland didn't change for centuries" and claims Gallowglass, or similar type of warrior was used for 1000 years.
    Is this true?

I think that the new skin looks rather good. The sword and armour look very nice.

What do you think chosen swordsmen are? This makes me think that the Celts are going to be very much like the Irish and Picts from VI campagin. Some kind of combination of the two. I wouldn't be surprised if the Celts get crossbows and mounted crossbows.

Personally I want to see Frankish Paladins and Heerbann (whatever the throwing axeman is gonna be called).

the type of unit is called a lewcach i belive, they used a lewing sword also known as a cleighderaigh, and first appeared sometime before 800AD AD Brian Boru used one in the late 900s. About 450 BC the La Tene culture was creating iron long swords and chainmail. they reached ireland about 200 AD. The gaels arrived in ireland about 100 BC they brought with them a type of two handed weapon based warefare, so sometime between100BC and 800 AD the lewing sword

I stopped playing RTW before I played a faction with chosen swordsmen. If I had known they had invisibilty as their special power I might have played another campaign. When do the cave trolls become buildable?

Why not, the genocidal saxons had em (crossbows) in King Arthur.
