Question Greek Cities = Achaean League?

I've seen them mentioned in this forum as "Allied Hellenes", but what about "Achaean League"?

The Achaean league did exists in 280 bce , was the strongest political entity in greece in those days but ruled only parts of it . besides , EB moders already said that the factions list is closed !!! (damn) , if they (EB) say that historical accuracy is their goal , than they should have the Achaean league , but , alas , the limitations !

I say the Cheromidean alliance has a good chance, it was an alliance between Sparta, Rhodes and Athens against the Macedonians and was formed very near to the starting date of the mod (don't know the exact date)

Crownstealer has is, our KH faction is the Cheromidean alliance, the 2 leagues just don't fit that well into map and faction number constriants, the alliance works better.
