other factions?

Is it possible to play the campaign mode as a different faction other than the Roman Familys? or maby even a mod that allows it?

In your Rome Total War folder: Enter the Data folder, then the World folder, followed by the Maps folder, then the Campaign folder and finally the Imperial_campaign folder.

Inside the Imperial_campaign folder, open the descr_strat text file. At the very top of the text file, you'll find the list of playable factions. Make the list look like this (without the #'s) :

spain

The senate and slaves/rebels are not recommended for play.

Otherwise, if you'd like to play "clean", you can win the game with one of the Roman families. Each other faction YOUR faction destroys, will be playable your next campaign (well, most of them, anyway).

The Senate and Slaves CAN be played, but there are issues. Some major ones resulting in annoying game crashes, or for the slaves, just no chance of actually getting a decent game in before you get your backside kicked

If you win a campaign in the stock game, you unlock some of the factions...but the above method is much quicker and easier !
