I have only been playing for RTW for a couple of months and need help with the modding. i have been reading some of the posts, i was able to add the factions to the playable list, only a few factions specially. but when i play the imperial campaign it will not let me play with the faction.

any help with this?

First off.... can you post what you have changed to make the factions playable? Also, let us know what is stopping you from choosing the factions in th campaign. Which faction are you trying to play also?

This should be a simple edit to achieve the desired effect, but without knowing what you did and what has happened, there is little we can really do to help!

i found the imperial campaign folder, and moved egypt, britons, greek cities from the unlockable to the playable tag(below). i did not touch the nonplayable factions. when i start the imperial camp. i choose egypt and it abruptly sends me back to the single player menu. i made backup of the file. I was able to change some of the romans units and etc. and play with them. but could not unlock egypt. is there something i missed. i am new, but i learn quick. thanks for any help you can give.

playable
romans_julii
romans_brutii
romans_scipii
egypt
britons
greek_cities
end
unlockable
seleucid
carthage
parthia
gauls
germans
end

Yeah, you forgot the nonplayable tag. To unlock all the factions do this:
Code:
playable
	romans_julii
	romans_brutii
	romans_scipii
	egypt
	seleucid
	carthage
	parthia
	gauls
	germans
	britons
	greek_cities
	romans_senate
	macedon
	pontus
	armenia
	dacia
	scythia
	spain
	thrace
	numidia
end
unlockable
end
nonplayable
	slave
end

I think I must have made a mistake in the same bit (where you edit playable or not factions and what they start with). I edited what units factions start with and their money. However, just like when Scotch made a mistake, when I went to start campaign I return to single player menu. All I did was change starting unit exp, types, and starting money.
