    Default Attrition question ?

    Hello everyone

I've just realised my brand new legion is losing men whilst in enemy territory. I didn't know that the 1.2 patch had done this. It is realistic but I hate losing troops for no purpose. Does anyone no what affects attritiion rates for in enemy territory and sieges please?

Attrition doesn't happen in RTW. Not unless you are defenders in a siege.

No, it sounds like your army inherited the plague and is now dying slowly from it. They should get over it in time. If not, disband them or sacrifice them in battle.

Slightly more worrying point. Does that mean Rome has the plague?

if you're more than 8 turns away from Rome then it's not likely. Anyhow, jut check Rome and see... if it has a skull in the status readout that appears on the campaign map then congratulations, Rome has the plague.
